Photographic styles are as individual as each photographer is unique. An analogy of my style would be similar to that of a jazz musician. I learn and practice the craft of photography, but I am inspired by the light, how I feel about the subject, my interaction with all. My approach is more intuitive.

My style  has certain characteristics:

Biography

Bill Lange is a free-lance digital photographer located in Northern California specializing in personal portraits. He uses a documentary, photojournalistic approach to capture images that communicate the essence and spirit of the subject.

Photography has evolved into a major creative commitment. He has a unique view of the world. Through his craft and experience, he is able to capture images that reflect that distinctive vision.

Bill has been practicing his craft for over thirty years using various photographic tools and techniques. He has attended many photographic workshops. 

Bill has won numerous photographic competitions and his work has been published in the San Jose Mercury News, San Jose Magazine, the Independent Coast Observer and a variety of other venues.
